Question 3D in Apollo

Hello,

I have read the info on 3D and what I gather is basically I need to add either [3D] or [SBS3D] at the end of the file or folder name.

However I use metabrowser and that automatically renames my files…. Is there some work around for this?

Also how exactly does mediabrowser identify a movie as being 3D? What should I see in mediabrowser to know I have successfully tagged it as such?

Thanks

3d

Put the indicator in the folder name instead of the file name. You can also do this at a higher level. Anything under that folder will be recognized as 3D.

At this point, there is nothing in MB that will take advantage of this except for CoverArt 3.1 which has a beta posted out here.

  • Thanks for the response. I do have metabrowser rename my folders as well. I take it I should stop doing that and all will work out fine. Also I will check out CoverArt 3.1. Thanks – FantaXP7 about 1 year ago
  • Or, like he said, put all your 3D moves in a subfolder with [3D] or [SBS3D] in the folder name and it will work also, ie, \\server\[3D] Movies\movie 1\movie.mkv etc. – fatal about 1 year ago
  • OH that makes sense now. Thanks fatal. I had hoped to keep my 3D movies in the same sorting style I keep 2D, but I guess it’s no biggie because mediabrowser does an excellent job of sorting and merging media. – FantaXP7 about 1 year ago
