Hi all, I’m just getting familiar with MB after building my first HTPC a couple weeks ago. I’ve recently installed the Pearl theme, and have my media organized in the following way:
I’ve got my Movies by Genre media collection pointed at E:\SD Movies and E:\HD Movies, and the collection seems to be indexed properly, with the movies appearing in the correct folders…with one exception. I have a folder in the collection titled “unknown” that includes all my local trailers. Is there an easy way to exclude them from the collection?
Apologies in advance if this has been asked/answered previously – I did a search and couldn’t find a similar topic.
Are there any xml or other files (other than the trailer video) in the Trailers folder?
Maybe this thread could help:
Then open Media Browser Service (in your system tray) and do a refresh.
Really, I store all my local trailers by it own top folder, I use metabrowser as well the plug in: MBTrailers
I felt I did not explain fully the issue:
You local trailers within your movies (same folder) should be like this:
As your example:
Notice the folder “Trailers”
Then do MB Service Refresh, and you will find the trailer within the details movie title:
I only use trailers for my offline movies titles
That’s very strange and should not be happening. Somehow, the trailers are being discovered as regular media instead of just trailers.
This does not happen to me. Can anyone else confirm?
Thanks for the responses. I should have clarified that I’m not having an issue viewing my trailers from within a movie’s info page. That functionality works fine.
My problem is that my trailers are also all showing up in my ‘Movies by Genre’ media collection in an untitled folder. Is there a way to exclude those files, without having to un-nest and move ALL my trailers?
