Personal Site with media collections
Hello,
Not looking to get help in setting up a site or building a site looking for pointer or directions or mybe bounce back ideas with someone
My Project: Personal website for my media collections … i will do the job if i get proper pointers
Host: I can host it at home in windows home server VM or with Hostgator i have baby plan for $9.99 and i can use sub domain
What i want to achieve ?
A website that has my personal media collections only and nice look thinking of something like this : http://www.themoviedb.org/
I want simple easy look of list of my media collections with images no video or anything it is an easy way for me to know what i have or own and not re download them again again and same time if friend wants to movies or tv shows then the can look up my site.
My be i can add movies trailers by adding YouTube videos link but main gold is to have only list of media
Example: Movies Title: 300 jpg images description trailers next to it
same thing goes for tv shows but no trailers to much lol
ther Option is: http://sharethe.tv/ But they don’t have a Media center plugin or media browser plugin, so i will have to use xbmc and xbmc plugin
Please advise on this

Use the media browser plugin TracktMB
http://wordpress.org/ may be the way to go with one of the plug-ins
This is what i use to keep track of my movies. While out aand when i’m not sure if i own the movie or not, i simply hit it on my bb. i host it on an old pc at my house that i keep on 25/7. Works perfect for me.

You could also use ORB, but it doesnt have that great of a GUI.

this is very simple…
grab the program CatVids. http://www.fnprg.com/catvids/
in catvids you have tons of power.. and one of the easiest things to do is export to html.
that site is completely generated from catvids. (the movie db at least)
and you can completely change how you want it to look, what info to display, and add filters.
