Question 'Trailers' media collection missing in Atlas

In my current setup I have four VFs: Movies, 3D Movies, Television and Trailers. Since the upgrade to Atlas my Trailers VF is MIA. I tried removing it and re-adding it through the mediabrowser configurator. I also tried both UNC and mapped drive paths for the directory as well as switching to the default MB theme (I am currently using Chocolate). After each change I have run a manual refresh of the MB service. My Trailers folder contains local trailers that get downloaded automatically daily this is not the trailers provided from the MB trailers plug-in. Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Do you mind if I ask which tool you use to automatically download trailers daily? I have been playing with some, but haven’t found a process I really like yet. – Unknown813 11 months ago
  • I use the program at this siteschneifu 11 months ago
  • oh, this is for new trailers… I was looking for something to look at my current library and automatically go out and grab the appropriate trailer and download them to the right location so it can be played inside of media browser. I’ve been using TrailBlazer, but was looking for other options. – Unknown813 11 months ago
  • Metabrowser does that for current library content (and I think it can be done automatically but I don’t use it that way), but it also does a bunch of other stuff that you might not need and might not want to pay for. But I thought I’d mention it. Good success rate for new and popular films, hit and miss on other stuff, so depends on your content. – CWNashvegas 11 months ago
  • I still use the old free version of metabrowser for years and love it, but the trailer download feature is in the new version you have to pay for. I think I am just going to buy it – Unknown813 11 months ago

The folder name “Trailers” has basically been turned into a reserved word in this release. This may be changed in a future release. In the mean time, simply rename the VF. Even adding a space to the end of the name should work.

  • Thanks for the speedy reply. I will give that a shot when I get home from work. – schneifu 11 months ago
  • ebr, you were correct. Adding a space the the name ‘Trailers’ fixed my issue. Thanks again. – schneifu 11 months ago
