Hello,
Sorry Sorry Sorry … please do not heat me for asking this one … i have researched the MB site before posting this but again i am lost and confused.
My problem:
Sometime i get Blu-ray CD’s and they play fine using a Software like Nero or any other Software but i fail to lunch it in Media Center and same thing with MB
I am talking about entire CD of 26 GB or sometimes complete CD of 56 GB of a movie with extras and other features
Would it be possible for someone to show me how to do this ? if this options is available in MB
also second question : is iso playback for blu-ray is easy in mb ?
Good day,
First thing, make the virtual drive from demon tools either before the real cdrom or after the cdrom letter, do not push it to like U or something. (it not big issue, but it best to be like that).
Now in image number 8 disable the Transcode360 option.
In image 9, remove the check mark from “ISO” for the media type for that external player.
You only need the demon tools on the pc that play the title (the one run MB), not in the server.
Demon tools only need to to “mount” the iso image or any other images type, if it been setup correct, then you should not have any problem.
As I said before, no need for the pro ver, I just use it because I paid for it from long time ago, as well been with this virtual program from the start.
Now back to the topic:
1 – Uninstall the demon tools.
2 – Go to the Disk Management (see my last post) and change the drive letter to be one later more than your hard disk drives, example:
You have drive c, d, then the real cdrom will be F (we skipping E for the virtual drvie) after that reboot your PC.
3 – Install again the demon tools, and when it finish give it the drive letter E
4 – Now from the setting in demon tools , enable these options:

Or did you tried that already?

I’m not totally familiar with bluray playback, but I think you would need an external software to play them back as media center doesn’t support them. At least that is how I am doing my bluray playback.
Good day,
MB will play bluray either ISO or bluray-rip.
If it bluray-rip like (BDMV) folder without menu (single m2ts file as example) the free player MPC-HC will handle that fine.
But if it with menu, or ISO file, then best to use TMT 5 since now it full supported with MB as external player.
I use TMT5 for all bluray, either rip or ISO one.
For ISO mount, I use demon tools pro, but you still can find the free ver somewhere in the internet.

Good day,
But i wanted an options to actualy have the enter blu-ray experince with menu and extras from MB.
As I said in my last post, you can play with external player (if you chose that route) as TMT5 either ISO image of bluray or a bluray rip folder as BDMV
If I understand you correctly the bluray rip folder is “BDMV”, it either it full or been modify (remove extra, audio’s , subtitles ….. etc) by like some utilities for that.
If that not the issue, can you please explain the issue more.

Good day,
How to add TMT5 into MB ? as far ISO i have demon tools lite free license one installed in all of my pc not the pro Please advise because it seems this might fix my issue – jacklynee
From the Media Browser Configurator:

But you need to install the TMT5 first before doing this, you can try the trail from ArcSoft

Good day,
We better get out of comments to explain the issue more:
I also notice abobader that you have Media player Classic as external player i know one thing Media player classic has better codes and sub and iso support and deafult windows media center built in player is very week and even with K-lite codes it is still missing major core files to play iso files properly or play VLC or FLV files – jacklyne
No big issue with the pro or the free one regarding “mounting” images.
You for sure need to setup within Media Browser Configurator the virtual drive letter, if you set it up with demon tools as G, then put that in the Media Browser Configurator. What you see as example in the Media Browser Configurator, you need to give it the correct virtual drive letter as your setting with demon tools.

Yes, I use TMT5 for ISO bluray, bluray rip, HDDVD, and m2ts format media, everything else goes to MPC-HC.
Now regarding my network … trust me i built a suppor strong network with 2 brand new 1GB jumbo frame switches and 1GB routor brand new asus and Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables all brand new tested with 1GB nics on all my pc i have really slick network – jacklynee
I trust you :)
Well, in LAN/WAN business, no harm to recheck cables, ports switch, test placing cable to another ports and a like.
If you using your lan with domain, check users accounts and a like, really this thread better not going to that route, but these as example.
it would be better if i myby add external play as media player classic to WMC via MB config … not sure any advise ?? – jacklynee
If you see that the free program as MPC-HC doing better than a paid TMT5, then use the free one, for sure that better choice.

Good day,
demon tool is not configured properly … i am not sure how to give it a letter number it is defulating to E which is one my drives and i cant find a way to change that so it macthed MB Thanks – jacklynee
hello abobder is their anyway you can help me with this Thanks – jacklynee
From windows click on “Start” – then “Run” and put this:
compmgmt.msc
Now click on “Storage” then click on “Disk Management”
Now see what drive letter that demon tools use (CD-ROM) and right click on it and chose:
Change driver letter and Path ..
Now change to the one you like.
Also if you need to change to letter that the real cd-rom use, first change the letter for it, then for the virtual drive.
After that reboot your pc.

Hello Guys and Hello abobader
I got PIC number 14 will show it all , ISO need a player which is Media Player Classic it worked fine but non-ssd drive it is very slow so once i push stop it will take for ever to unmount the iso and then go back to WMC and then back to MB
But now i am able to play every format so options are limitless and MB is Just getting better day after day
Thank you very much
The Blu-Ray menu system is written in Java which is a limitation for many players. You have a number of options to comply with/workaround this limitation in Media Browser:
I hope I haven’t confused you. Your next step is to work out which option appeals to you most and we can go into further detail.
Hello,
I have both PowerDVD and WinDVD when i start wmc it show me powerdvd as an option in menu with MB and extra and music and ect. I asume i need to add powerdvd or win dvd into MB config in sections for extranl players
Now my files are all .MKV , AVI , Divx , DVD rip , Blu-ray rip so i dont have problem with this. If i get M2TS format i usualy use software to covert it to .MKV H264 format
But i wanted an options to actualy have the enter blu-ray experince with menu and extras from MB.
DVD will play fine in MB with ViedoTS and AudioTS files and Menu work fine too
so i am asuming this wont be possible ?? Correct
