Music Bio/Description Downloader (Folder.xml)
This app requires the Full or Music Radeon Licence
This app will download all missing artist Bio’s within your Music collections.
Just simply place it in the route of your Music and double click the EXE. It relies on the folder name being the artist name at the top level and does a look up based on that name to get the relevant bios/descriptions, then uses that info to populate a folder.xml.
This app only goes down to the artist level to provide a generic artist image and will not effect the album folder.jpg’s if they exist.

it is working just need to fiddle round with the views in neo
so were is the bio shown once done and lirary built…. cant see it anywere. were does the info come from?
In case anyone is interested, I just used this software to find bios for the artists in my ‘music videos’ folder. I have 390 total artist folders under ‘music videos’, and the bio download program had a success rate of about 90-95%. For instance, of the first 25 artists folders in my collection, the only two artists it couldn’t bios for were A-Ha and Baltimora. The next artist in alphabetical order that it couldn’t find a bio for was Better Than Ezra, which is the 33rd folder in the collection. That’s 3 out of 33.
Not too shabby.

Where does this app pull info from? Can I add info on artists that it couldn’t get a bio for?
