Here is a link to someone who has my exact problem, but no answers for him:

I am having this problem after upgrading from 2.3 to 2.6. I also use MetaBrowser for metadata, not sure if it matters.
Here is a screenshot to show you, not only is the backdrop appearing in the General tab, but so is the movie description. It’s as if it is loading the entire page inside the tab.
Following up on this with more info:
If I go into the Configurator and change the Default theme color scheme to BLACK I get this:

If I go into the Configurator and change the Default theme color scheme to Extender Default I get this:

Hopefully this helps someone figure out what is going on here…
I just noticed… the words PLAY, RESUME, REFRESH, etc.. are not showing up either unless I hover them. What’s wrong with the default theme in 2.6??
I don’t think it’s your backdrop showing up in the tabs. Close MB and Delete Fonts_DoNotEdit.mcml and Styles_DoNotEdit.mcml from your C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser directory. It’s a hidden folder by default.
Did not help :(
Do you have any files in your programdata/mediabrowser directory called custom_styles or custom_fonts? If so, try deleting them.
If not, this may be some sort of corruption of the dll resources. Can you replicate it on any other machine?
I just switched over to the Diamond theme instead of the default. it’s too bad because I liked how the default theme looked similar to the rest of Media Center. Maybe next time I upgrade I will just delete everything from scratch and do a clean installation.
Is there a way to easily skin Media Center now? I noticed Media Center Studio is all out of date and it seems like no one is working on anything actively.
Have you tried uninstalling MB and then re-installing? You won’t lose any settings.
Thought I had this issue on my WMC box. Could not replicate on my main desktop. Tried everything including uninstall/delete all/reboot and re-install. Could not get it to go away on this latest version update. Turns out in my case the latest version is not compatible with Terminal Services. Never had an issue in past but with this version I cannot test backdrops as well as movie playback remotely.
