Just wanted to say that MBMusic is the best music browser for MCE or indeed for Windows fullstop. With the latest build it has become a robust and reliable front-end for large music libraries. Thanks EBR; looking forward to how it evolves.
In comparison, the MCE native Music Library is a joke. On a large library trying to get MCE to scan a large library is a nightmare – it takes forever, if it does not crash. The only reliable way to scan a large collection is to scan it in stages.
However, if too many changes are made, MCE deletes the entire library database and starts again … in the background. When this happens, wmplayer.exe hogs pretty much all the cpu resources it can get and god help you if you are trying to use MediaBrowser because performance then slow to a trickle.
Anyway MCE’s Music Library has been consigned to the dustbin! Good riddance!
