Icons
Some plugins are shown on the Enhanced Home Screen in Media Browser. To assign a custom icon for a plugin you need to do the following:
Make sure you have your ImagesByName folders setup. for details on how to do this, have a look here
In this example the Favorites plugin by EBR is used. More information about this plugin can be found on EBR’s website http://www.ebrsoft.com.
- Create a new folder inside the General subfolder of ImagesByName called “Favorites”
- Place your custom icon in either .jpg or .png format inside this folder and be sure to name it “folder.jpg” or folder.png" depending on the file extension
Backdrops
It is also possible to add backdrops for a Plugin. To accomplish this simply add another image file to the same directory you placed the folder.jpg in and name it backdrop.jpg.
Please note that individual backdrops are only shown if you have the Enhanced Home Screen disabled.
Additional notes
Some plugins allow custom names. These can be changed on the plugins tab by selecting the plugin and pressing the “configure” button.
Make sure the name that is configured for the plugin matches exactly to the folder name you configured in “General” subfolder.
Examples of plugins that allow custom names are “Film Trailers”, “Music”, “Favorites” and others.
