Media Browser Community Tracker

If you encounter a problem with configuring, or have question about using Media Browser, there are a few things you should do.

First, have a look at The Knowledgebase to see if your problem or question can be answered with one of the many topics already there.

Second, have a look at other Questions, previously posted by other users here on the tracker.

Of course, you can always use the search box at the top right corner to find similar topics based on keywords.

Third, visit The Media Browser Forum and search for similar topics there.

If, after going through the above options, you still have a problem please post them in the correct location.

The forum is the best place for general discussions. Please use an appropriate section for your topic. If you're unsure, use the “General Discussion” section.

If you have a specific media browser related questions, that is well defined and has an actual answer. Post it here on the tracker.

If you post a new topic, please include as much relevant information as possible.

For example (if applicable):

  • Windows Version and operating system language (including x86 or x64)
  • Media Browser Version (Codename and/or version number)
  • Plugin Version (if the problem is related to a plugin)
  • Folder layout
  • Network layout (if files are stored on a server / WHS)
  • Codec Package(s) in use
  • External Player(s) in use
  • Steps undertaken to troubleshoot your problem
  • Steps to reproduce a problem

If you're quite certain that you've encountered a bug that you can reproduce, please post a Bug Report here on the tracker. Before posting, please look at the outstanding Bug Reports to prevent duplicates.

Again, if posting a Bug Report, please include as much valuable information as possible. If you post a bug you can also add a “steps to reproduce” post so others can use those steps to confirm the bug.
