The History Page

Every post on the Tracker has a log kept of all changes made to it. Clicking the “History” button will display the log of these changes. The log is formatted as a list of each version submitted. The original post is displayed at the bottom of the page, with the current version at the top.

Header Bar

At the top of each version there is a header bar, this bar displays the version number, an arrow which you can click to minimise that version, the user who submitted the edit, and when it was submitted. The bar also shows the type/reason for the edit. Until recently users could not specify a reason for edit, so most will only display “Modified body”, but as more edits are made with reasons specified this section will display the reasons.

Edit Highlighting

The History view highlights the changes made in each version, text which was added is highlighted in green, and text which was removed is red with a strikeout, as shown below.

Edit Highlighting

A view similar to this is also displayed when someone suggests an improvement to your post, so you can see what they changed so you can decide whether or not to approve the suggestion.
