Community Tracker uses an automatic system to assign avatars, if you have not chosen one.

The avatar is generated uniquely based on your email address. Some times the automatic avatars are delightful, sometimes they are pretty bad.

If you are unhappy with the one automatically assigned to you, you can choose a new one by logging on to the gravatar website and uploading an image.

Important notes:

• Make sure you rate it “G”, as community tracker requires G images.
• Gravatar works with lowercase email addresses. If your email address used on the Community Tracker contains any capitals, notify Birkoff to fix it. more details here
• It can take up to 24 hours before the updated gravatar image is shown as your avatar on the Community Tracker.

Further down the line there are plans to allow users to upload avatar images.
