Question Should I Split Up Xzener's Fanart Collection

Hey guys,

Have another question that needs your feedback. I currently have darn near 500 icons in my collection. Ideally, my thread was created to encompass my entire collection. Icons, 3D covers, backdrops, etc. I'm finding it difficult to manage now.

My question is this… “Do you guys think splitting up my collection will greatly organize things from a request stand point??”

The only problem I see is requests still pending in the original thread. How should I go about resolving that issue if I do create seperate threads??

Please post your thoughts and requests here.

Thanks guys,

Xzener

  • I think this is more suitable as a discussion topic. If you agree, can you change it? – birkoff about 3 years ago

I dunno. The topic you have seems to work well, it’s just that the volume is so large that when you mix discussion in with the requests, it gets cumbersome. Since you can edit your topic, maybe you should simply move or delete any non request related discussion from the requests tab. Then, in the future, remind everyone that the requests tab is only for requests. Discussion should be kept to the other tab.

As I read through the requests, there are many actual requests, but I see A LOT of pure discussion on that tab. I think if you get all that stuff moved, your requests will be much more manageable IMO.

  • True, but posters aren’t being specific with their requests. I've asked for more info, but no response. If the request is made in the correct thread, there is no room for error in that aspect. – xzener about 3 years ago
  • Xzen, are you able to create extra “request tabs”. I believe you now have 2 tabs, General and Requests. What if for example you have: General Discussion, icon request, Backdrop requests, 3D covers Request, etc.? – amaru96 about 3 years ago
  • I asked and was able to get “Discussion” and “Requests” but not everyone would benefit from multiple tabs. – xzener about 3 years ago
  • That may be true but I think it would probably be easier to manage than having multiple threads. – amaru96 about 3 years ago
  • Or, trim down my existing thread. Creating ALL icons from one request. How does that sound. Anyone else have any insight?? – xzener about 3 years ago
