Ah I just fixed that stupid bug when navigating back to the EHS. In the past is never remembered where you were now it does – I'll have to release this in a different release now.

  • is that fix theme specific or core? – birkoff over 2 years ago
  • It is pearl-specific. – soultaker over 2 years ago
  • can we fix this then? – birkoff over 2 years ago

Thanks for implementing the full width poster view!

Quick question – obviously the number of posters that can be displayed across the screen depends on poster size. Is there any way of “centralising” the poster view across the screen so it doesn’t look lop-sided?

Hey,

I seem to be having a focus changing issue, when viewing list of movies and going to the cog icon to change the sort order, the focus moves back to the poster instead of remaining on the settings/sort view.

Thanks

ST, here’s a screenshot of what I meant. It’s most apparent with largish posters and vertical scroll enabled:

alt text

It would look cleaner with the poster grid centred, but I don’t know if that’s possible. Guess I could always go back to horizontal scrolling!

  • hmmm, i may be able to solve that. – soultaker over 2 years ago

I would like it to be where on cover flow the cover art was closer to the bottom so it doesnt cover much of back drops and since the covers have the name of the movies drop displaying the title. If you can make an option like that, that would be awesome.

Looks real nice, thanks ST!

No runtime or media details

  • what plugin do you use to get the play trailor built in to the menu? – thobel about 2 years ago
  • No plugin required. Just need a Trailers folder inside your movie directory with the trailer file inside, mediabrowser will then show the trailer option for any movie that has a trailer. More info can be found here. How exactly does local trailer support work? I use metabrowser 2 to fetch trailers for my movie collection. – BAS about 2 years ago

LOVING this theme, its def #1

can someone tell me how to get pearl to show me a number count of episodes in a series folder instead of just the watched/unwatched symbols?

Im sure its an option, but Im having trouble finding it, lol

Thanks, Doug

  • Enter mediabrowser config screen, goto media options tab, check show unwatched count, uncheck highlight unwatched items. – BAS over 2 years ago

Can the volume of the pearl sound effects be brought down a few levels in your next release? Just so that they're consistent with the default theme?

I ask because they are considerably louder than the default theme as well as standard media center sound effects. Right now they're a bit overwhelming and I see no way to fix this other than disabling all media center sound effects, which I'd prefer not to do.

While I'm at it, another nice option would be to have pearl use default sound effects, for greater consistency.

Hi all, new to MediaBrowser and just purchase the Pearl Theme as it’s highly recommended by several guides on the web as the starting theme.

But immediately I’m confused by the “white layer of transparency” over backdrops. Is this by design? I would like to have the backdrops without having a semi-transparent layer of white over them, is this possible? I tried digging through options but changing the theme to black doesn’t seem to make a difference. What am I missing? Thanks for looking into this.

  • Pearl has skin options to change the filtering and other color aspects. You can easily change the skin by pressing your # key anywhere in Pearl. In the pearl options page you will see a skin selector, try out Night. You will need to exit mediabrowser and re-enter to apply a skin change. – BAS over 1 year ago

@mediabrowserman, have a look here.

You just need to change a value in one of the mcml files.

Hope this helps
