Are there any internet radio plugins available for Windows Media Center? I'm looking for Pandora radio, Slacker radio, anything like that. I feel like it is an essential part of my HTPC experience that I am missing out on.

  • That works I suppose, thanks a bunch. Not really what I was hoping for though. I've gotten addicted to Pandora on my phone recently… – fuzzy11287 over 3 years ago
  • Perhaps elaborate on what you are after. I really have no idea what those radio stations are and if you need something special to play them. I got those two links simply by searching for “internet radio windows Media Center”. There was tons of stuff so perhaps you might find what you after. Maybe someone else can help further. – skynet600 over 3 years ago
  • Ah well www.Pandora.com basically streams music based on whatever artist you input, its not available outside the US though. Say you wanted to listen to Metallica and any artists similar to that artist, you just type in Metallica and it will create a playlist for you for free. It has loads of music too, today I listened to a playlist of all Irish folk songs for example. Slacker does much the same thing. – fuzzy11287 over 3 years ago

I've been using Boxee (with the MCE plugin). I listen to Pandora and watch Video Podcasts (HD Nation, Tekzilla, and TWiT) among other things. A new version was just released a few days ago.

I just tried out Boxee with the WMC integrator. Have to say its the nicest app I have tried for radio streams. Does a hell of a lot more too.

I would love to see Media Browser compatibility with Last.fm radio. I don’t know how possible it would be.

There is no Pandora plugin for media center unfortunately. You could possibly use the Media Center RSS reader and subscribe to Pandora’s RSS feed through it to pull off streaming music from Pandora in media center.

I personally have never tried that and just use MCShoutcast instead but it doesn’t have Pandora, but more then enough commercial free music on there for me.

you can also install kylo browser in 7MC. home page of kylo browser contains amongst many others ‘Grooveshark.com’, which does exactly what you want: type in an artist and make a playlist. oh,and it’s not restricted (yet) to the USA only.

I think using the Boxee plugin is the way to go. I would leave…

Mediabrowser for Movies, TV shows, Trailers and

Boxee for Podcasts, Pictures and webapps like Pandora

I still use Media Center for music
