all my VIDEO_TS films have the DVD logo on the top of the cases but any films that are still images like .img or .iso etc are not showing with any thing. you can see this below on the pic i got on display.

Yep what rwhapham stated would definitely be a way to accomplish this without messing with anything in coverart. You can also take care of this through coverart’s config though.

  1. Open the Coverart config
  2. Click select specific covers
  3. Click Add
  4. Treat this media format, ISO with this cover DVD

If you have other extension types that you want treated in a certain way you can rinse and repeat this process.

Example : Treat MKV with BD would give you bluray covers on all your MKV’s.

  • will that make it work for .img files and all the other type of imgage files? – chriscozens about 2 years ago
  • Well .img files aren’t available in the list of valid extensions, if you did a specific cover set of Treat Default with DVD. Anything that doesn’t have a correct type set would then automatically be applied a dvd cover, this might take care of the image files that aren’t ISO. – BAS about 2 years ago
  • Also to see if this works after you have setup coverart, go to 127 hours and click control R or record on remote to refresh this item and see if the dvd is correctly applied. If it works how you want you could then just navigate to main Movies entry and refresh it for coverart to apply these changes to all movies incorrectly treated. – BAS about 2 years ago

You'll either have to use a metadata app to set the movie’s type to DVD, or you will need to hand-edit the mymovies.xml file and set the ‘Type’ tag to ‘DVD’.
