Any ideas where this blue backdrop is coming from when I use the Neo theme?
I would have thought that “My Trailers” (called local trailers in my setup) would simply take the backdrop of the movie with which it is associated… instead, it is using some random blue curtain backdrop which I haven’t downloaded and put anywhere… I went through ImagesByName and can’t find it anywhere!
Likewise, the same blue curtain backdrop is showing up for HD Trailers and streaming trailers (done with the Film Trailers plugin) as well… The blue curtain backdrop is not my Startup backdrop nor is it my theme’s backdrop.
PS: The backdrop is in the middle of a transition, which is why it looks odd.
Any ideas?
The blue curtain backdrop is a filler image inside the neo.dll This is shown when an item for the spotlight is missing a backdrop image of its own, then you are greeted with this image in the spotlight area. The smaller panels such as recent and last played use a black hole style image in situations where there is no backdrop. I haven’t used any of the trailer plugins in sometime so there is a chance that these don’t play well with Neo’s EHS at this time.
Another thing to add to the worklist.
I have this same issue only mine will not display the backdrop for any regular film. They have backdrops in their respective views but not on the main page. All I get is that blue curtain.
Ok so it appears that the trailers plugin doesn’t support backdrops, which means there is nothing to display for Neo.
Yes I can confirm that backdrops are not working in the trailers plugin with neo. Any updates on this as I love the neo theme but the lack of backdrops ruins the ehs screen for trailers.
Backdrops do indeed work for Neo, not all but most.
I am assuming people meant MB Trailers.
I don’t know how karlos65 is seeing backdrops for MB Trailer items. I have the following settings:
<Settings>
<Changed>False</Changed>
<MenuName>MB Trailers</MenuName>
<HDTrailers>False</HDTrailers>
<ShowMyTrailers>False</ShowMyTrailers>
<MyTrailerName>My Trailers</MyTrailerName>
<TrailerSuffix>Trailer</TrailerSuffix>
<AutoDownload>True</AutoDownload>
<MaxBandWidth>
</MaxBandWidth>
<CacheDir>
</CacheDir>
<AutoClearCache>False</AutoClearCache>
<FetchBackdrops>True</FetchBackdrops>
</Settings>
Everytime I do a refresh on trailer items (default theme, Neo, etc.) The refresh completes with no backdrops visible. So please do enlighten me how does the plugin actually get backdrops.
Now if you guys are saying that YOUR trailer items HAVE A BACKDROP AND ARE NOT displayed in Neo please provide me screenshots because that is an issue I can control.

Could be wrong on this but I did a manual refresh from the Service for an unrelated issue of some albums not displaying folder jpg’s. I cleared the item cache and checked the box for primary images. When it had finished all 67 of my backdrops for trailers had gone. Then I did the ctrl-r on the main MB Trailer folder, still no backdrops.
Now prior to this I was looking at the config.xml and noticed that sqlite was not on, FALSE in the xml, so I changed it, after changing it back to FALSE and then another ctrl-r on the MB Trailers they are now all back. Could be coincidence but it was the only thing I had changed.
