Question Iso mounting problem

I am having trouble with mounting iso files on mediabrowser. I have no problems playing the other video files types (avi, mkv, video_TS) through mediabrowser. I have been using mediabrowser on 2 computers for the past 2 years without any difficulty mounting iso DVD files with VirtualCloneDrive and playing them on Arcsoft TMT5. My videos are located on a server running windows home server. This week, I replaced the system drive using the same operating system and without any changes to the video files or directories. Now my iso movies won’t mount on both computers through mediabrowser. When I select an iso movie using mediabrowser, the mediabrowser screen is displayed followed Arcsoft TMT5. However, the movie doesn’t play. The name of the movie is listed on “Last Played” but is not mounted. However, I can manually mount and play the same movie on either computer using VirtualCloneDrive and Arcsoft TMT without any problems. I made sure that mediabrowser is still pointing to VCDMount.exe. I am not sure what happened because I never changed the settings to Mediabrowser, VirtualCloneDrive, or Arcsoft TMT. I downloaded and installed Daemon Tools Lite and it is also unsuccessful in mounting an iso file through mediabrowser. I looked through the other iso mounting threads on this forum and didn’t find any solutions. I think the problem seems to be most likely related to a mediabrowser issue. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!

Everything was working until recently. I can’t remember what I changed to make it work. However, I am now having problems playing iso files again. The only I changed was updating mediabrowser to the newer version.

I was able to resolve the problem. Switching to uMCEPlayer5.exe and re-installing TMT and Vitual Clone Drive didn’t fix the problem. What finally worked was removing TMT as an external player from media browser configurator. I’m not sure why this fixed the problem since I hadn’t changed the settings to media browser in 2 years.

Thank you so much for all of your assistance.

Have you resolved this as yet?

Question, I assume your ISO’s are regular DVD’s. If so, why are you using TMT to play them. If correctly configured Daemon will mount them as standard DVD’s to the virtual drive and play them as standard DVD’s in media centre / media browser, neither being the wiser. Adding TMT in the mix just adds another layer.

You will need to point media browser configuration to the Daemon executable, ensure that you’re showing the virtual drive (not your physical DVD drive), remove any ISO associations from TMT to Daemon. I run both using Daemon as the native ISO player and TMT purely for BluRay’s.

First, try to use the uMCEPlayer5.exe (Media center player) from TMT instead of uTotalMediaTheatre5.exe. If that fails, you may have to re-install TMT and maybe Virtualclone drive..

Still not working.

When I load an iso, the file doesn’t mount, but the movie title is displayed under “Last Played.”

This is what happens when I try to load an DVD iso of Finding Nemoalt text

It could be a folder permission issue… Check if your Movie folders are shared correctly…
